Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian TV presenter and actress. She is best known for her role as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16she already secured a number of TV roles for instance, the lead in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and won critical and commercial popularity. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra is well known for her work in numerous notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. One of these is the British biographical documentary Control, the Greek drama film The Dust of Time, and French historical mini-series Napoleon. The actress also served on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
